FanArt, Original Art and CopyArt

Once more, start up the pencils, pens, and your imagination.

We have got here the first annual volume of the festival AnimeSHOW 2008. And we can't have this festival from the Comics Salon family without drawing competitions.

The committee will choose the best works

The Rules:

Definition of FANART > Registered contestants who draw or paint in Japanese style (Manga) or western comics and scifi & fantasy will be able to enter their works, representing existing characters, into the contest. These will be displayed in designated rooms for the duration of the convention.

Definition of ORIGINAL ART > Registered contestants who draw or paint own pieces with an original idea in Japanese style (Manga) or western comics and scifi & fantasy will be able to enter their works into the contest. These will be displayed in designated rooms for the duration of the convention.

Definition of COPY ART > The competitors have to draw a perfect copy of a existing work from a manga, comics, scifi, fantasy or a game. These will be displayed in designated rooms for the duration of the convention. These pictures should be hand-drawn

The Basics: A maximum of two works for the FanArt contest and two works for the Original Art contest can be entered per author. It has to be in A4 or A3 format (other have to be consulterd with organiser) and must not have been already displayed in public (thus, no web page or exhibition), it must not feature mature content.

The Author: Sends information about himself – those will be displayed next to his works.
